It will be quiet at our house and I'll probably sleep through the festivities so that I can face the new year rested and refreshed. Here's hoping 2009
brings harmony, grace and hope!

At one time most of my friends could hear the bell,
but as years passed, it fell silent for all of them.... Though I've grown old, the bell still rings for me as it does for all who truly believe. The Polar Express |

Well, we were just going to go into the city for the family fireworks and that was that. We did that, got crushed on the public transport coming home, and got
home about 11.30. We opened one bottle of champers, and then another, and then another. For an example of the kinds of things we did, my friend was planting
plants at 3.20am, we then may or may not have been singing into hairbrushes to Take That and Madonna, and we were playing Buzz at 4.30 in the morning at which
point my friend and I went we've had enough! My son apparently went to sleep at 6am, but my friends son tells us that he stayed awake all night!

First year in a long time I actually had plans to go out and I got a snowstorm! I had to take a taxi to work. The plow driver at work ended up driving me
home and he PLOWED my driveway. I love him! He is totally not supposed to do that! So, I rang in the New Year with a movie and a couple drinks. Then, I went
to bed...

Marg, it sounds like you and Tommy had a great time New Years Eve!! Planting plants at 3:20 AM sure does beat taking down the Christmas decorations. Glad you
had a great time ringing in the new year.
